Seller Policy

1. Introduction

This Clothes Seller Policy governs all sellers listing fashion and fabric on our platform. By becoming a seller, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable Indian laws related to textiles, consumer protection, and e-commerce.


2. Seller Eligibility

  • Sellers must provide valid KYC documents: PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN (if applicable), and bank details.

  • Only genuine and authorized sellers may list branded or trademarked apparel.

  • Sellers must comply with all Indian textile regulations, labeling rules, and e-commerce standards.


3. Product Listing Requirements

All clothing and fashion items must include:

Mandatory product details (as per Legal Metrology Rules):

  • Product name and description

  • Brand/manufacturer/packer/importer details

  • Size information (as per standard charts)

  • MRP inclusive of all taxes

  • Material/fabric composition (e.g., 100% cotton, polyester blend)

  • Country of origin

  • Care instructions (wash symbols, ironing, bleaching, etc.)

Listings must:

  • Use high-quality, accurate images (no misleading editing).

  • Reflect exact color, pattern, dimensions, and fit.

  • Clearly specify whether the product is new, handcrafted, or customized.

  • Not include counterfeit, copy, or unlicensed branded clothing.


4. Pricing & Taxes

  • Prices must comply with Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules.

  • Sellers must charge only MRP or applicable discounted prices—no hidden fees.

  • GST must be correctly applied based on apparel category (generally 5% or 12% depending on price slab).

  • Price manipulation or false discounting is prohibited.


5. Inventory & Stock Accuracy

  • Stock levels must always be updated in real time.

  • Orders must not be cancelled due to “Out of Stock” unless absolutely unavoidable.

  • Frequent stock-related cancellations may lead to penalties.


6. Order Processing & Shipping

  • Orders must be packed and shipped within the committed dispatch period.

  • Packaging must protect items from moisture, dust, and damage.

  • Each parcel must have correct labels: size, color, SKU, seller details.

  • Sellers must upload valid tracking details immediately after dispatch.

  • Fake tracking numbers or delayed shipment is strictly prohibited.


7. Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Clothing is a high-return category, so sellers must comply with India’s e-commerce standards and platform guidelines:

  • Returned items must be accepted unless proven tampered, used, or different from what was delivered.

  • Sellers must not reject legitimate returns.

  • Refunds must be processed quickly after product verification.

  • Quality checks on returns must follow transparent and fair criteria.

  • For size-related issues, replacement options must be supported (if applicable).


8. Product Quality & Authenticity

Sellers must ensure:

  • Products match the listing description.

  • No stains, defects, wrong sizing, or color mismatches.

  • Fabrics and stitching meet acceptable quality standards.

  • Branded products are 100% authentic with proper tags, labels, and packaging.

Counterfeit apparel will lead to immediate suspension.


9. Customer Service Requirements

  • Sellers must respond to customer queries within the required time frame.

  • Professional and polite communication is mandatory.

  • Sellers must assist customers regarding size charts, care instructions, and fitting issues.


10. Prohibited Items

Sellers may not list:

  • Counterfeit or replica branded clothing

  • Offensive, obscene, or prohibited graphics (as per Indian laws)

  • Used or refurbished clothing (unless specifically allowed)

  • Items violating textile labeling or safety standards

  • Sarees or garments with banned dyes or chemicals


11. Legal Compliance

Sellers must follow all applicable Indian laws, including:

  • Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011

  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020

  • GST Act

  • Textile labeling standards under BIS (if applicable)

  • Intellectual Property / Trademark laws

  • Import rules (if selling imported apparel)

Non-compliance may result in penalties or account suspension.


12. Penalties & Enforcement

The platform may impose penalties for violations such as:

  • Listing removal

  • Order cancellation charges

  • Account warnings

  • Payment withholdings

  • Reduced visibility or delisting

  • Temporary or permanent suspension

Certain violations (counterfeit apparel, fraudulent activity) may lead to immediate termination.


13. Policy Updates

This policy may be modified without prior notice. Continued selling implies acceptance of updated terms
